If you are a parent or a person interested in getting more involved with the club, we always have opportunities for people to help in a variety of ways. Generally people volunteer their services free of charge, but in some circumstances the club is willing to contribute towards expenses and some are paid positions.
If you would like to know how your child can get involved or how you can help please read on and contact one of the executive committee members as detailed on the contact us page:
If you or your child enjoys football but hasn't got a place to play or club then we are always interested to hear from you. Opportunities exist for youth players to come along on an informal basis each week for coaching from the ages of five and upwards.
Every year the club holds an open day for children and teenagers to come along, enjoy themselves and play some football at the Parkfield home ground. If you like what you see and the the club has any opportunities for you to join a team then you may get involved in this way. The next open day has not been arranged yet but it is likely to be in the Spring of 2005.
We always need help with the catering for match days and social events. On match days parents are able to help in the Tea Bar each week. If your team is at home please volunteer your services to spend half an hour before the game to help serve teas, coffees and other items.
If you are a parent we are also looking for help at social events to organise the food and drink and to serve behind the bar.
The club has an ongoing requirement for plumbers, electricians and other craftsmen to help keep the club house in order. If you are able to volunteer your services it would be greatly appreciated.
The Kit Managers position is currently vacant. As Kit Manager you would be responsible for looking after the various kits used by the Parkfield teams. Kits are often handed down from team to team and coordination of this, together with the purchasing of new kits each year would be the main responsibility of the person who gets involved. As kit manager your buisiest time will be pre season, where you will also look after teams requirements for Match & training balls, bibs, and cones, along with first aid kit requirements.
It doe's not involve taking the kits home and washing them!
